Fun Read

August 30th, 2009

This is a blog that I thought you might enjoy - especially those of you who have, or have had, teenage girls.  Susan Marie posted a link to it on Twitter, and I loved reading it.

It's actually written by Hilary McKay, a writer of childrens' books, not by a teenager.  It's some very funny stories of experiences in the life of a 12 year old girl.

Caring Bridge for Nora (from Nance, Apr.8)

April 10th, 2009

Dear Friends and Family,
With help from my brother Dick and sister-in-law Deb, I finally created a CaringBridge site to keep you up to date on Nora. She will be starting hospice care tomorrow after a very long and exceedingly spirited struggle with her cancer. She tried enough treatments for five Noras and it's a testament to her indomitable spirit that she is still very reluctant to "give up." But she needs the coordinated care that hospice can provide now.

You can visit Nora's CaringBridge site at http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/noralongley.

Please visit our CaringBridge site anytime. You can use the site to check in on Nora, read the journal entries and send us messages by signing our guestbook. When you register with CaringBridge and sign our guestbook, you will automatically receive e-mail notifications each time our journal is updated. Or, you can subscribe to receive these notifications even before you sign the guestbook. (Of course, you can unsubscribe from these e-mail updates at any time.)

Much love to all,

Nance, Brian, Nora, Cait, and Hannah
